NYC Neighborhood Hotel Guides

With in excess of 300 hotels in the area, choosing one can be a real challenge. We broke the hotels down by area, including the ones that offer the best prices through the Priceline reservations network. We have also picked out a few good hotel picks in the most popular areas of the city. Each area of the city has hotels that offer a unique style. UP TOWN HOTELS

Manhattan's Upper West Side is generally less expensive. Near Lincoln Center and Central Park it is a good choice if you are looking to stay in a quiter area of the city. The Upper East Side can be very high-end expensive. Near the museum mile and shopping on Madison Ave, it is a great choice if you will be doing a lot of museum hopping.

MIDTOWN HOTELS

If you are taking in a Broadway show or two and would like the convieniece of walking to the theater - the Times Square and Theater District offer many hotels that are budget so you don't need to break the bank. If you want to be in the middle of the action this is the place for you. Further east in Midtown Manhattan is where many business travelers stay. there are many moderately priced lodging options that are located in this area, close to Rockefeller Center and many businesses it is a great choice. Central Park South area offer fabulous views of the park. Many historical landmark and luxury properties can be found in this area. The Murray Hill area offers some boutique type properties in a quiter residential area. This area has long been popular to many visitors and diplomats to the United Nations. DOWNTOWN HOTELS

Further downtown in the Flatiron District, or stay in some of the newer upscale hotels in the SoHo-Tribeca-Downtown area, near Little Italy and Chinatown. In spite of some steep rates, Lower Manhattan does offer some good hotel values. If you are in for business near Wall Street staying in Lower Manhattan can save you some travel time during the business day.
