Wave Hill is a 28-acre public garden and cultural center in the Bronx overlooking the Hudson River and Palisades. Its mission is to celebrate the artistry and legacy of its gardens and landscapes, to preserve its magnificent views, and to explore human connections to the natural world through programs in horticulture, education and the arts. Plantsmanship, aesthetic sensibility and human experience of the natural environment are the horticultural emphasis of Wave Hill's 28 acres of gardens, grounds and woodland. The resulting abundance is renowned for its intimacy of scale and carefully cultivated serendipity. Wave Hill is also home to presentations of emerging and established artists in a unique environment, including visual and performing artists.
