Named the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in honor of its founder, is known as much for its building design as it is for its content. Frank Lloyd Wright's masterpiece of modern architecture is home to the world-renowned Guggenheim collection of modern and contemporary art that includes masterpieces by Chagall, Kandinsky, Picasso, and Van Gogh, as well as special exhibitions. The building opened in 1959. The Guggenheim is included in the
CityPASS ticket program.
Note: On Saturdays from 5:45-7:45pm, the Guggenheim has a pay what you wish policy (PWYW) visitors can pay what they wish as opposed to the usual admission fee.
On other days, the hours are 10am to 5:45pm except closing on Saturday at 7:45. The museum is closed on Thursdays. Admission prices are $25 for adults, $18 for students and seniors(65
