Recently opened to the public, the Fisher Landau Center for Art is the newest contemporary art destination in Long Island City, Queens. The 25,000 square foot facility, designed by world-renowned architect Max Gordon, has three floors of exhibition space showing works culled from the collection of Emily Fisher Landau. Composed of over 1,100 works, Mrs. Landau's collection spans 1960 to the present and includes artists such as Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, Kiki Smith, and Matthew Barney. The Fisher Landau Center for Art is open Thursday through Monday, 12-5, and is free of charge.
