he Ed Sullivan Theater is located on Broadway between West 53rd and West 54th in Manhattan. The theater is a 13-story brick building that was designed by architect Herbert Krapp and built by Arthur Hammerstein. In 1953, Ed Sullivan moved his show to this theater; the building's name was changed to The Ed Sullivan Theater in 1967. From 1993 to 2015, the Ed Sullivan Theater was home to the popular Late Show with David Letterman and now The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
